Timmons Group is seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer II/III Roadway Design - Transportation Group professional to join our team in Ashburn, VA.
Key Responsibilities:- Design project components using relevant software, modeling, and AutoDesk Civil 3D technology.
- Perform calculations using engineering formulas and skills, and/or utilize computers to solve problems.
- Prepare specifications materials through research and manufacturing catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection, and payment of items specific to a project.
- Work to complete design details and plan sets.
- Conduct research and write objective summary reports used in the completion of project work or inspection.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
- Complete field observation, inspection, and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff.
- Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
- At least two years of experience in transportation civil engineering related to roadway design.
- Bentley OpenRoads Designer proficiency is essential.
- AutoDesk Civil 3D proficiency is a plus.
- VDOT experience is preferred.
- EIT certification is preferred.
