Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surveying Technician I - Rodman/Instrument Operator to join our team at Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for operating surveying instruments, collecting data, and assisting in the preparation of survey reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate surveying instruments, including conventional and robotic total stations, GPS, and levels
  • Collect and record survey data, including measurements and descriptive notes
  • Assist in the preparation of survey reports and maps
  • Perform manual labor, including cutting brush and carrying heavy equipment
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions

This position requires extensive fieldwork, often in challenging weather conditions. You must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in a variety of terrain types.
