Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant in our Family Practice, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include obtaining medical history, triaging patients, recording vital signs, and reconciling medication lists in our electronic health record system.
Responsibilities- Obtain medical history and triage patients to ensure timely and effective care.
- Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records.
- Reconcile medication lists in our electronic health record system to ensure patient safety.
- Administer injections as ordered by physicians and report any abnormal results immediately.
- Maintain clean and organized exam rooms to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assisting certification from a nationally recognized organization.
- Experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant or completion of an externship in a medical office.
- Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification accredited by the American Heart Association.
You will need:
- Knowledge of healthcare field and medical office protocols/procedures.
- Skills in performing medical assistance tasks appropriately.
- Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures.
This role is a normal working condition for a healthcare environment.
