About the Position:

SBM Management Services is seeking a skilled Floor Technician to join our team. As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining clean and orderly commercial or office spaces, ensuring customers have a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other employees to complete assignments and achieve team goals.
  • Perform repetitive tasks, including cleaning and maintaining floors, to ensure high-quality results.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Take direction and respond to supervision to ensure tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Communicate effectively with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Fulfill staff shortages in custodial, recycle, or maintenance roles as needed.
  • Support the shift lead in completing punch-list items to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Use personal protective equipment as required for assigned tasks to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Understand customer service and satisfaction principles to ensure customers have a positive experience.
  • Understand reporting systems and environmental procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Operate motorized cleaning equipment to maintain floors and surfaces.
  • Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas to ensure high-quality results.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors, including tile, carpet, and brick flooring.
  • Complete work assignments in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
  • Utilize chemicals and supplies according to procedure to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain equipment properly to ensure high-quality results.
  • Operate and maintain equipment correctly and safely to prevent accidents.
  • Observe safety precautions, including using safety signs, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Report safety hazards as appropriate to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the janitorial industry with floor/carpet care expertise preferred.
  • A drug test will be required, with 3+ years of experience preferred.
  • Floor Care experience and using machinery required.
  • General Knowledge of Care Floor and Scrubbing Techniques required.

Compensation: $15.00-$16.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:30pm - 10:30pm
