Senior Engineering Director

We're looking for a dynamic individual to join our US Northeast Engineering Design Organization (EDO) as an Engineering Manager. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in helping us grow and develop our existing multi-discipline design team to support our expanding US Operations.
In this role, your primary goal will be to contribute to and be responsible for all engineering aspects of multi-discipline projects across various markets and business areas, including Water, Energy and Resources, Environmental, and Transportation. Our projects range from large to small and cover all our market areas.
This position offers a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Assisting the NE EDO Business Group Leader with operations and driving to monitor and meet KPIs, including utilization, staffing, workshare, coordinating technical capabilities, and delivery.
- Leading the growth and management of the multi-disciplinary engineering team while growing opportunities and capacity.
- Being the functional manager for a team of technical professionals and managing their day-to-day activity.
- Championing relationships with internal clients along with developing new clients.
- Supporting markets and business groups with client relations and working alongside them to develop new client relationships.
- Working with the business development team and pursuit leaders to support the pursuit of design projects.
- Providing thought leadership, regulatory oversight, and mentorship to your team and clients, both internal and external.
- Managing and representing external and internal client projects to regulators and other partners, including interest groups and the public.
- Collaborating with the NE EDO management team and other disciplines to develop, manage, and deliver projects.
- Communicating and working with multi-discipline project team members to provide quality service to clients, ensuring all documentation conforms to client/company standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Registered Professional Engineer, preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar leadership position.
- 15+ years of experience in related consulting and design environments with proven experience in large and complex project delivery, including FEED, Design Build, Municipality projects, industrial projects, and other types of projects.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to interact effectively within all levels of the organization in a collaborative fashion.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in personnel management, decision making, change management, employee development, performance management, and team building skills.
- Strong business acumen and commercial skills.
- An agile self-starter with a proactive, strategic, and creative approach.
- Exceptional client engagement and relationship skills.
- Experience managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a demanding consulting environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet required deadlines, and manage and organize processes and procedures.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
