About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at GE Aerospace. As a key member of our casting operations, you will be responsible for defining and controlling production processes, including tooling and equipment. You will also be responsible for validating design specifications and shop floor application of new products, tools, or equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and control production processes, including tooling and equipment.
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new products, tools, or equipment.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of casting processes, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering to improve casting producibility (existing and new product introduction).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in casting related process experience (preferably equiax castings).
  • Knowledge of wax, soluble, and ceramic core die design.
  • Familiarity with RP pattern usage in an NPI environment.
  • Functional process knowledge of equiax casting processes.
  • General understanding of process capabilities of an equiax casting foundry.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • 4+ years of equiax casting experience.
  • VSE/SPS experience desired.
