Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students to determine eligibility for special education services.
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students receive tailored support.
  • Counseling Services: Provide direct counseling services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns to promote academic success.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for improving student outcomes and provide support during emergencies.
  • Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid Texas state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience: Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting preferred.
  • Skills: Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education.
