Job Title: AWS Linux Systems Engineer

This role is responsible for ensuring the development teams have the required infrastructure, environments, and access in place to execute development plans through collaboration with the shared services team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provision and manage AWS infrastructure, including virtual private clouds, subnets, security groups, and other networking components and services.
  • Manage and maintain Linux image creation and deployment with associated systems, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Configure and manage AWS services, including Lambda, EC2, SQS, SNS, SES, Cloud Watch, and RDS.
  • Support the automation lifecycle by managing production environments and code migrations, ensuring separation of duties.
  • Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, ensuring high levels of availability and security.
  • Work with the team to ensure proper usage and maintenance of Automation Cloud and installed software, ensuring it remains secure, stable, and up-to-date with the latest features.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of AWS concepts, principles, and best practices.
  • Expertise with Cloud Formation and experience with Linux Server (Ubuntu, Debian).
  • Familiarization with the Least Privileged Access principle and understanding of Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Quick technical learner, able to pick up sets of responsibilities quickly.
  • Knowledge of LDAP Directory protocol and experience with cross-regional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of other AWS services, Google, and Azure.
  • Project Management Methodologies and DNS/DHCP IP protocols.
  • Network protocols and network administration knowledge, network security.
  • Good knowledge of security as it relates to cloud-based infrastructure.
