Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at the US Department of Health and Human Services. As a Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for providing direct and comprehensive primary, therapeutic, and preventative medical care to patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and provide direct medical care to patients, including diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, including ordering diagnostic tests and prescribing medications.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on disease prevention and health maintenance techniques.
- Document patient data and care plans in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Graduation from a physician assistant educational program accredited by the ARC-PA.
- Successful completion of the NCCPA examination and maintenance of certification.
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician Assistant from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Master's degree in a related health care or health-related science.
- Minimum of one year of work experience as a certified physician assistant equivalent to the GS-7 grade level.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to make sound judgments in emergency situations. The selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements.
