Wall Panel Designer

US LBM Holdings, LLC is seeking a skilled Wall Panel Designer to join our team. As a Wall Panel Designer, you will be responsible for designing and creating detailed presentations of building material requirements and systems for assigned projects or related segments.

• Design residential and commercial wall panels using MiTek Saphire software.
• Discuss changes and corrections with engineers, architects, and contractors prior to and during construction.
• Produce materials lists.
• Resolve architectural and design discrepancies.
• Comply with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
• Read and understand blueprints and detailed technical drawings.
• Use computer or other technical equipment to provide a technically accurate layout (takeoff) of customer orders.
• Adhere to local building codes and material constraints when developing material lists and design layouts.
• Assist customers as required, providing accurate, timely, and thorough customer service.
• Develop and improve standard design specifications and actively participate in process improvement.
• Complete projects on time.

• High School or GED required.
• Associate's Degree in civil, architectural, or design-related field may be required.

• 1 year of drafting experience in a construction or building materials-related industry required.

• Special skills required: Proficient technical writing skills. Excellent salesmanship and communication skills. Proprietary software, AUTOCAD, computer literate, ability to read technical drawings.
• Special skills required: 2 years of experience in Proprietary software, MiTek Saphire.
• Other: PC literate with Microsoft Office products, and other design programs that facilitate learning in-house program with ease.
