Position Summary

As an Independent Optometrist, you will have the autonomy to establish your own practice within a Walmart store. This unique opportunity allows you to take a leading role in patient care, providing eye and vision care, as well as general health and well-being services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish your days of practice and hours of operation
  • Control your patient schedule and set your fee schedule
  • Keep 100% of exam/professional fees
  • Option to opt into equipment/instrumentation and administrative/Opt-Tech support services (if state allows)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school
  • Valid state optometry license
  • Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) from an accredited school
  • Valid state ophthalmology license
  • General Liability Certificate
  • Professional Liability Insurance Certificate
  • W-9
