Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Professor to teach Western Civilization courses on our Newton Campus.
Responsibilities
- Teach one section of Western Civilization I and two sections of Western Civilization II on Tuesdays and Thursdays in-person in class.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that emphasize the political, social, economic, technological, and cultural forces that influenced the historical development of Western Civilization.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to promote student learning and engagement.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum.
Requirements
- Masters degree in History with a focus on Western Civilization.
- At least two years of teaching experience at the college level.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong technical skills, especially with Canvas Learning Management System or similar learning management systems.
