Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Housekeeping Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping department and ensuring that our high standards of cleanliness and service are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities- Department Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the Housekeeping team, ensuring that they have the necessary tools, training, and support to perform their duties effectively.
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping department, including room cleaning, laundry, and linen management.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that our rooms and public areas meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and develop the Housekeeping team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with other departments, including Front Office, to ensure seamless operations and excellent guest service.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our operations run smoothly.
- Experience: At least two years' experience in Housekeeping management, preferably in a similar hospitality environment.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of hospitality operations, including room cleaning, laundry, and linen management. Familiarity with PMS software and other hospitality systems.
The Assistant Housekeeping Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, with a moderate noise level. The role will require standing, walking, and lifting up to 20lbs on an occasional basis. The successful candidate will be able to work well under pressure, be a team player, and have excellent attention to detail.
