Your primary responsibility will be to conduct a variety of nuclear imaging procedures that assist in diagnosing and treating numerous health conditions.
Your expertise will significantly contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services to our community.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a range of nuclear imaging procedures, including but not limited to SPECT scans, PET scans, bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and thyroid uptake studies.
Operate advanced imaging technology, such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Monitor patient well-being throughout procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
Collaborate with radiologists and medical professionals to deliver precise and timely reports on imaging results.
Maintain detailed records of patient data, procedure specifics, and radiopharmaceutical administration.
Adhere to all radiation safety regulations and protocols to safeguard patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure.
Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or concerns.
Educate patients regarding procedures and address any inquiries or apprehensions they may have.
Stay informed about advancements in nuclear imaging technology and engage in continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related discipline.
Current certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) with a specialization in nuclear medicine.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Proficiency in utilizing nuclear medicine imaging equipment and related software.
A strong grasp of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiation safety protocols.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, emphasizing patient care and comfort.
Capability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional on-call shifts.
