Bus Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Bus Driver to join our team. This is a part-time, contracted position for the 2024-2025 school year.

This role involves driving students safely to and from school and extracurricular activities. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and possess a strong commitment to student safety and well-being.

• Drive school buses safely and efficiently to transport students to and from school and extracurricular activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe bus environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure smooth transportation operations.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to the Transportation Department.

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid Washington State Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
• No less than five years of driving experience.
• Able to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional weekends.
• Must provide a complete abstract of driving record for 5 years (available from Dept. of Licensing).
• Able to maintain confidentiality and work within designated bounds of authority.
• Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional, cooperative working relationships.
• Able to communicate clearly and work effectively with staff, students, and patrons.

• $23.02 per hour for training and substitute positions.
• $26.24 per hour for contracted positions.
• Part-time/contracted schedule.
