About the Role

At MasTec Communications Group, we are committed to building a better future for our customers and communities. As a Fiber Splicer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our fiber optic networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and test end-to-end fiber optic networks to ensure high-quality connections.
  • Utilize advanced testing equipment, including OTDRs, fusion splicers, and power meters, to troubleshoot and resolve issues with fiber optic networks.
  • Collaborate with our team to identify and implement solutions for complex network challenges.
  • Work in outdoor utility construction sites, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in fiber splicing and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of fiber optic design, testing, and maintenance.
  • Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to work.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including overtime.
