Urology Practice Opportunity

Community Health Partners is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established urology practice. The successful candidate will work alongside two experienced urologists, providing high-quality care to patients with a range of urologic conditions.

Responsibilities

The Advanced Practice Provider will be responsible for providing clinical care in general or specialty areas, working collaboratively with the attending physician and interdisciplinary healthcare team. Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing and planning patient care
• Providing comprehensive assessments and medical diagnoses
• Writing prescriptions and formulating treatment plans
• Assisting with basic urologic procedures and supporting physicians with their procedures

This role offers a unique blend of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, providing a diverse clinical experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a procedurally oriented surgical specialty, performing various bedside procedures and assisting in the operating room. Additionally, they will be part of a supportive team environment, working closely with physicians and other APPs to deliver exceptional patient care.

Accountabilities

The Advanced Practice Provider will be accountable for providing direct assessment, evaluation, and primary patient care, complying with medical protocols and procedures. Key accountabilities include:

• Providing direct patient management in collaboration with physicians
• Participating in daily rounds, patient assessments, and care plan development
• Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests
• Ensuring patients are counseled regarding treatment plans and medication use

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program, as well as relevant clinical experience in the area of specialty. They will also be credentialed by the CMC Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional and privileged to perform Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Standardized Procedures. Additionally, they will hold the necessary licenses and certifications, including a current State of California Nurse Practitioner License or Physician Assistant License, and a DEA Controlled Substance Number.
