Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Manufacturing Skills Trainer to join our Workforce Development team. In this role, you will play a vital part in equipping individuals with the essential skills needed to thrive in today's competitive manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for delivering engaging training programs, mentoring participants, and collaborating with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support for Certified Production Technician and Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician Certificate programs, encompassing training, mentorship, project oversight, and student guidance.
  • Foster strong partnerships with Career Technical Degree Programs to enhance the value and impact of both initiatives.
  • Maintain meticulous records of class schedules, training materials, and student enrollment information.
  • Leverage provided training simulators and your expertise to elevate manufacturing and maintenance skills in areas such as:
    • Blueprint Reading
    • Advanced Manufacturing Principles
    • Precision Measuring Instruments
    • Calculations and Conversions
    • Quality Tools/SPC
    • Quality Systems
    • Hydraulics/Pneumatics
    • PLC Systems
    • Industrial Electricity and Electronics
    • Motor Control Systems
    • Milling/Machining
    • CNC Machining
  • Collaborate effectively with business and industry professionals in the Northeast district to ensure training materials remain aligned with current industry requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Industrial, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering Technology or an Associate Degree in stated fields coupled with three years of industrial work experience. Alternatively, hold an Advanced Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate and five years of industrial work experience.
  • Demonstrate considerable experience collaborating with associates at all organizational levels.
  • Exhibit a strong ability to engage with business and industry professionals in the Northeast district to ensure training material remains up-to-date with business requirements.
