Job Description

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a skilled Photographer to capture the essence of our Newcomer Youth Summer Academy (NYSA) program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for documenting the academic, creative arts, physical education, and life skills classes, as well as field trips and special events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Photograph NYSA events, classes, and activities, capturing high-quality images of students, staff, and faculty.
  • Provide regular communication with IRC administrators, Yearbook Coordinator, and Graphic Designer to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Deliver images in easily downloadable files, organized by date and event.
  • Edit photo rolls and photos to ensure high-quality output.
Requirements:
  • At least two years of photography experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Flexible and able to solve problems.
  • High level of cultural competence.
  • Fluency with photo editing programs.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and youth is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Consent to photos being the property of IRC and not for use by the photographer without IRC's permission.
