Printing Press Technician

Job Overview
As a Press Operator, your primary responsibility will be to guarantee the utmost quality in print production by efficiently operating and maintaining printing machinery. You will adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines set forth by Federal, State, Corporate, and Plant policies, while also contributing insights to the Plant Safety Committee.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate press operations and conduct proof pulls
- Review job tickets to ensure compliance with print specifications
- Adjust ink flow rates as necessary
- Verify specifications for paper and ink
- Monitor print samples throughout production runs
- Feed paper into press cylinders
- Oversee automated press operation systems
- Load paper into presses
- Secure printing plates and make required adjustments
- Maintain cleanliness of ink fountains, plates, and cylinders
- Change press plates, substrates, and rollers as needed
- Mix inks and replenish ink fountains
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on presses
- Keep accurate production records
- Track inventory levels
- Assess environmental factors impacting equipment performance
- Intermediate knowledge of OSHA regulations and GMP standards
- Ability to report safety issues to the immediate supervisor
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Document discrepancies in quantity and quality
This is a Contract-to-Hire position.
Work Environment
This role is fully on-site in a manufacturing setting with climate control.
