Job Title: Cyber Network Security Engineer
About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a member of our Pegasus program, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining critical war planning and warfighting capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyze, and resolve network incidents and problems.
- Determine network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
- Knowledge of associated hardware, software, and equipment associated with the program.
- Analyze, administer, and maintain voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
- Manage usage and performance of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
- Maintain network to meet Enterprise Service Availability and Service Level Agreement requirements.
- Utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) Principles to identify, categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
- Maintain network security and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Participate in development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.
- Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
- Assist with development of third-party monitoring actions and procedures for network infrastructure.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Provide network/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of related Network Administration experience.
- Must possess and maintain a SECRET Clearance.
- BA/BS degree – may substitute additional years of experience.
- Must possess a completed CCNA certification.
- Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges.
- Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g. OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, VLANs, Port Security, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS software and hardware features.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while ensuring high quality of work.
- Experience working directly with hardware vendors involved in incident resolution process.
Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $88,275 - $102,350, depending on experience and qualifications.
