About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and driven NPI Project Engineer to lead the way in program/project management, communication, and conflict resolution. As a key member of our team, you will thrive in an ambitious environment, facilitating actions and driving results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, establishing standards for Design for Manufacturing and defining manufacturing process requirements.
  • Provide leadership in defining/communicating Operations' requirements early in the NPI cycle.
  • Make recommendations to management, engineers, and staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and process improvements.
  • Manage the stabilization of NPI transitions, evaluating in-process quality data and driving corrective action to maximize product manufacturability and mitigate business risks.
  • Identify, design, manufacture, and install customized fixtures for production and material handling.
  • Prioritize projects, establish timeframes, and project cost estimates for review and approval.
  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, designing layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Design appropriate equipment and coordinate electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Prepare drawings and parts requirements, determining the most cost-effective means of production.
  • Initiate and promote continuous improvement principles of Lean Manufacturing throughout the organization to reduce cost and increase productivity.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar degree and 1-5 years experience; or at least five years related experience.
  • Software requirements: Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of electronic components, part numbers, and values.
  • Ability to research parts and/or other information.
  • Ability to create BOM's with minimal support.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes; assembly through test.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of FMEA.
