Job Overview

Schell Brothers LLC is seeking a dedicated Apartment Porter to join our esteemed team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep of our residential communities, assisting the property management team, and addressing maintenance concerns effectively. The safety and well-being of our residents, colleagues, and themselves will be a top priority.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough maintenance of community grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing offices, parking areas, and other essential structures.
  • Perform daily waste removal from office spaces and throughout the apartment community.
  • Assist in preparing units for incoming tenants by clearing debris from vacant apartments prior to readiness.
  • Support the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager by executing assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the cleaning of available apartments and model units.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving mechanical, carpentry, and electrical issues.
  • Report any maintenance concerns regarding available apartments, models, the clubhouse, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Maintain a tidy, professional appearance throughout the workday and while on community premises.
  • Possess mechanical skills and knowledge for operating and repairing various industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with essential guidelines and security protocols.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members, guests, and service providers.
  • Able to perform the aforementioned tasks independently without reliance on external contractors.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in groundskeeping or porter roles is preferred.
