We provide flexible scheduling options, including both part-time and full-time positions, with various shifts available, focusing primarily on evening and night hours.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with medical professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Provide treatment for patients experiencing critical health issues, injuries, and urgent medical situations.
- Conduct vital sign assessments, administer medications, perform EKGs and x-rays, assist in surgical procedures, and support patients through emotional distress.
- Create and execute comprehensive patient care plans, which may include setting fractures, administering blood transfusions, and conducting diagnostic evaluations.
Required Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Illinois RN license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification from an accredited organization.
- ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications must be obtained within three months of employment (preferred at hire).
- A minimum of one year of experience as an RN in an Emergency Department setting.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing is mandatory; a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing must be achieved within five years if not already possessed.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certifications in TNCC/TNS and ECRN are advantageous.
Additional Information:
- Shift Availability: Day Shifts (7a-3p, 9a-7p), Evening Shifts (11a-11p, 1p-1a, 3p-3a), Night Shifts (7p-7a).
- On-Call Duties: Two on-call shifts within a six-week schedule, requiring a response time of 30-45 minutes. Compensation of $4.00/hr for on-call, with time and a half for any calls to duty.
- Holiday and Weekend Commitment: Every third weekend and rotating holidays.

- A 44-bed unit catering to a diverse range of patients, including pediatric cases.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4, adjusted according to patient acuity.
