Job Description

As an Embedded Software Developer at Innovative Solutions & Support, you will be responsible for the development of low-level software requirements and design documentation in accordance with RTCA DO-178C guidelines. You will work in unison with other Engineering disciplines to develop and integrate software into flight equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C/C++ programming and experience working with embedded systems. You will be responsible for writing code, making assessments on reusability, maintainability, and efficiency, and utilizing your expertise to make judgments on the technical approach for the software design.

Responsibilities
  • Develop low-level software requirements and design documentation
  • Work with other Engineering disciplines to develop and integrate software into flight equipment
  • Write code in C/C++
  • Make assessments on reusability, maintainability, and efficiency
  • Utilize expertise to make judgments on the technical approach for the software design
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • Strong background in C/C++ programming
  • Experience working with embedded systems
  • Knowledge of RTCA DO-178C guidelines
  • Ability to read and understand data sheets and processor reference manuals
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
  • Arm A v7 and v8 assembly/architecture proficiency
