Job Summary

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you'll provide direct patient care, education, and support to patients in a physician specialty practice setting. You'll utilize advanced nursing knowledge and experience to influence nursing practice and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, evaluation, and development of care plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordinate continuing education for team members.
  • Identify learning needs of patients and families, and develop and implement educational plans.
  • Assume responsibility for patient safety by maintaining a safe environment and fostering awareness of safety procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • 1 year of Clinical Nursing Experience within specialty or related applicable specialty.
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in specialty area.
  • IV insertion and maintenance experience.
