Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at University Hospital. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic examinations according to established protocols, maintaining accurate positioning and exposure techniques, and ensuring radiation safety practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct radiographic examinations with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety protocols.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media according to hospital policy and procedure.
  • Assist physicians with intricate radiographic examinations.
  • Ensure examinations are completed and ready for physician review.
  • Participate in department staff meetings and in-services.
  • Maintain proficiency in hospital and radiology equipment and information systems.
  • Instruct Radiologic Technology students in radiographic positioning, technique, and film critique.
  • Present a positive image of the hospital and department.
  • Assist in quality improvement programs.
  • Maintain appropriate credentials and certifications.
Qualifications
  • Registered with ARRT.
  • KY Radiation Operator's Certification.
  • CPR-Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Graduate of JRC-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
  • One year experience as a general radiographer.
