Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Massachusetts. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for educating, training, and monitoring patients using ventilators, PAP therapy, and home oxygen equipment. You will work closely with patients to assess their needs and communicate your findings to physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a complete listing of all current respiratory patients
  • Provide initial and ongoing phone contacts with all respiratory patients per Rotech policy and procedure
  • Conduct in-home visits to patients per Rotech's policy and procedure
  • Conduct patient assessments per Rotech's policy and procedure and the physician's order
  • Provide patient education on respiratory equipment use and maintenance, physician's prescriptions, and benefits of therapy
  • Set up and monitor highly technical respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen concentrators
  • Maintain documentation of all services provided and work performed per Rotech's policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Credentials as a respiratory therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is preferred
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry office equipment, and occasional lifting and transporting of patient equipment
