The Assistant General Manager (AGM) position is a developmental role at Red Roof, a leading hospitality company. **Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist the Hotel General Manager in managing and scheduling the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Laundry, and Sales teams.
  • Execute company and brand initiatives, policies, and procedures with a focus on quality, service, and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Control costs effectively to meet budget guidelines through forecasting, labor control, and P&L performance.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and lead employees to meet and exceed service and quality goals.
  • Coach, counsel, and motivate employees as necessary.
  • Manage property inventory and ordering of supplies to ensure proper stock levels are maintained within budget.
  • Participate in the preparation of annual budget and other financial reporting throughout the year.
  • Ensure safety procedures are in place for the protection of employees, guests, and Red Roof assets.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in hotel, restaurant, or retail management.
  • Profit and loss and budgeting experience strongly preferred.
  • Sales background and rate/yield management experiences are preferred.
  • Relocation may be required, and assistance is provided.
  • Must have an attitude and passion for success.
  • Independent business mind preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work without direct management.
  • Must have reliable transportation as this position requires travel between multiple properties.
