The University of California System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. As a Per Diem Registered Nurse, you will provide direct care to critical care patients using the nursing process in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex cardiac conditions
- Provide high-quality patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes
- Participate in shared governance committees to improve patient care and unit operations
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cardiac care technologies and treatments
Requirements:
- Current RN license issued by the State of California
- Two years of recent acute care RN experience in Cardiac Progressive Care
- BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire
- Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN degree
- IMU experience
- PCCN, CSC, and CMC certifications
