Position Details:
This is a full-time role on the Night Shift. The Blue 7 East unit comprises 23 beds dedicated to Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology Progressive Care, providing comprehensive cardiac management. The unit primarily focuses on monitoring and treating adult patients during both intermediate and acute phases of cardiac care.
The patient demographic includes individuals recovering from PCI, high-risk PCI, staged PCI, pacemaker/AICD placements, Ablation procedures, TAVR procedures, heart failure exacerbations, and cardiac arrhythmias. Nursing responsibilities encompass monitoring, rhythm interpretation, fluid and electrolyte assessment, inotropic therapy, respiratory evaluations, pre/post-procedure care, medical management, rehabilitation initiation, and comfort/palliative care as necessary.
Role Overview:
The RN Clinical Nurse plays a vital role within an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers, ensuring that patients, families, and significant others receive tailored, high-quality, and safe patient care. The clinical environment is managed by Nurse Managers and supported through the Wellstar Shared Governance Model. The practice framework is guided by the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, emphasizing evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and are reinforced by the Wellstar Values.
All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and adhere to the nursing practices outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, implementing the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards established by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, the individual is expected to uphold the voice of the patient while adhering to system policies and procedures and supporting service excellence goals.

Qualifications:
- Required Minimum Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Required Minimum Experience: Completion of an accredited nursing program with requisite clinical hours.
- Preferred Experience: Direct patient care experience.
- Required Licenses and Certifications: RN License (Single State), RN - Multi-state Compact, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
