Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Veterinary Technician at one of our Vetco Total Care full-service hospitals. You'll be responsible for providing top-notch veterinary care, assisting veterinarians with appointments and surgeries, and ensuring the well-being of our patients and clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide excellent veterinary care to our patients, including obtaining vital signs, recording medical history, and administering medications under the direction of veterinarians.
- Assist veterinarians with routine and emergency appointments, surgeries, and euthanasia's.
- Schedule appointments, communicate with clients, and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures, safely monitor anesthesia, and provide post-operative care.
- Participate in training new staff members and contribute to a cohesive, well-trained technical team.
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician certification in the state where the hospital is located.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary practice.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to learn new techniques and adapt to changing situations.
- A competitive estimated salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on location and experience.
