Position Summary:

The Occupational Therapist II plays a vital role in delivering occupational therapy services to patients of various ages and developmental levels. This position involves assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and providing hands-on therapy to promote functional independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy programs tailored to individual patient needs
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, treatment, and education
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Supervise and mentor occupational therapy assistants and interns
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in occupational therapy
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience as an Occupational Therapist I or equivalent, with a focus on pediatric patients
  • Hospital-based experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices, as well as CHLA patient care policies and procedures
Education and Certifications:
  • Graduation from an approved School of Occupational Therapy
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy or eligibility for certification
  • Licensure by the California Board of Occupational Therapy
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider CPR certification
