\We are seeking a skilled Diesel Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Xylem. As a leading global water technology company, we are dedicated to solving the world's most challenging water issues.
\Job Summary
\The successful candidate will perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and servicing on Godwin fleet equipment. Additionally, they will troubleshoot diesel engine, electrical systems, and pump problems.
\Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and servicing as directed on Godwin fleet equipment\
- Troubleshoot diesel engine, electrical systems, and pump problems\
- Rebuild diesel engines and pump ends\
- Assist customer and/or Xylem personnel with setting up pumping systems on customer job sites as needed\
- Perform an initial inspection of Godwin fleet equipment for possible damages; diagnose damages; report damages to Service Manager\
- Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality\
- Perform preventative maintenance on Company vehicles and shop support equipment\
- Perform diagnostic checks using computer technology\
- Participate in weekly on-call rotation schedule to assist customers after hours\
- Perform related duties as assigned\
- Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities\

Minimum Qualifications
\- \
- 3-5 years of diesel experience and/or training or combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position\
- Valid driver's license with good driving record\
- Ability to obtain DOT Medical card\
- Commercial Driver License B - Preferred\
- Diagnosing basic mechanical problems\
- Thorough understanding of the methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance\
- Basic understanding of pump station electrical controls and monitoring devices\
- General DC electric and circuit testing skills\
- General diesel engine component location and identification\
- Safety practices and procedures\
- Basic mechanical aptitude\
- Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues - preferred\
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision; self-motivated and self-directed\
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers both verbally and in writing\

Salary and Benefits
\The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Xylem offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
