Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to provide high-quality speech and language services to students in a school setting near Queens, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech and language disorders and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with identified needs.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, including individual and group sessions, and tailor therapy plans to address each student's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to support students' communication needs in various educational settings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, treatment plans, and evaluations, and prepare reports for parents, teachers, and school administrators as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in New York and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is highly desirable, with experience with a range of speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, and language development.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
