Key Responsibilities
Role Summary:
The individual in this role will be tasked with delivering outstanding service to both internal and external customers. This includes the precise preparation of all menu items that require grilling, frying, broiling, or pantry work.
Essential Duties:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, positively influencing interactions with guests and colleagues, while maintaining composure in challenging situations.
- Prepare food items according to menu specifications, ensuring that each dish is visually appealing and meets customer preferences.
- Demonstrate knowledge of various sauces and their appropriate application on entrees featured on the daily menu.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Work in an environment with varying heat and noise levels.
- Adhere to safety protocols regarding wet floors and the use of sharp kitchen tools.
- Utilize kitchen equipment effectively, including choppers, slicers, mixers, and grinders.
- Comprehend and follow recipes and necessary documentation.
- Assess food items to ensure they are cooked to the correct specifications.
- Efficiently navigate the work area.
- Stock and retrieve food items and supplies as needed.
- Lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds to manage supplies.
- Communicate effectively with guests and all levels of staff.
- Exhibit flexibility in working various shifts and schedules.
- Operate standard kitchen machinery safely and effectively.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Fundamental knowledge of food preparation and experience in line cooking.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications as required by regulations.
- Typically acquired through at least one year of experience as a Cook Trainee or in a similar culinary role, or through completion of a culinary arts program or recognized apprenticeship.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Final Note:
Seminole Gaming prioritizes Native American candidates in all employment practices. Preference is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet job qualifications, followed by members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes.
