Sisters of the Holy Cross, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Accounting Associate to join our team. This full-time, non-exempt position plays a crucial role in our financial operations.
The Accounting Associate will assist in the month-end closing process and ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial data.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing cash flow and performing monthly journal entries.
- Conducting reconciliations and providing support during the year-end audit.
- Maintaining property records for the Congregation and assisting the Capital Review Advisory Committee.
- Overseeing recordkeeping related to the Sisters' assets and managing the Sisters' Earnings database.
- Serving as a backup for Accounts Payable and Receiving functions.
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- The ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to a diverse audience.
- A willingness to learn various systems and enhance their skill set.
- A minimum of two years of accounting experience.
- An Associate's degree in Accounting or Business is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Relevant training in accounting and computer applications is essential.
This is a full-time, hourly/non-exempt position with compensation based on experience. We offer an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, group term life insurance, paid time off, a retirement savings plan, and a tuition assistance program.
