Instructional Paraprofessional School Aide

The Instructional Paraprofessional School Aide plays a critical role in supporting the educational and behavioral needs of our students. This position requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to providing a safe and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
The Instructional Paraprofessional School Aide will be responsible for:
1. Assisting with the supervision of students during all aspects of the school day, including arrival, departure, lunchtime, and instructional periods.
2. Implementing crisis management plans, including conflict resolution, time-out supervision, and de-escalation techniques.
3. Assisting with the development, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral intervention plans.
4. Gathering and maintaining data pertinent to student behavior, including daily behavior ratings and documentation of critical incidents.
5. Attending staff meetings and maintaining constructive relationships with other staff members.
6. Maintaining positive and appropriate relationships with students.
7. Seeking assistance from appropriate personnel whenever student-related or school-related problems occur.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related field, and a minimum of one year of experience working with children in a group setting. The candidate should also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Licenses and Certifications
The candidate should hold a current AHA HeartSaver First Aid CPR AED Certification, or be willing to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment.
