Truck Service Manager

Fleet Direct Truck & Trailer Sales is seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to oversee shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow, while providing support to technicians on the floor and assisting service writers with customers documentation and tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in class 8 tractor trailer maintenance with experience in hydraulics.
About the Role:
The Shop Foreman will be responsible for managing the repair and maintenance of company and customer owned equipment, leading employees to meet departmental expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment. They will also perform proficient inspection, diagnosis, and moderately complex repair of assigned vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage shop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and supporting technicians on the floor.
- Assist service writers with customer documentation and tasks.
- Perform inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Lead employees to meet departmental expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience in class 8 tractor trailer maintenance with a background in hydraulics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of class 8 tractor trailer maintenance.
- Proficient in electronic diagnostics Cummins and Paccar.
- Certified welder or equivalent experience preferred.
- Class A CDL license preferred but not required.
