About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for troubleshooting and fixing things, with a desire to continuously learn new mechanical and electrical skills. You will be an excellent communicator, with a positive attitude and ability to adapt to change. This role will involve daily and weekend overtime, and you will be required to follow all Food safety and employee safety policies for the protection of yourself, customers, and consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment errors, whether mechanical or with PLC
• Do all repairs necessary
• Fill out completed work orders
• Follow all Food safety and employee safety policies
• Organize and clean-up work station
• And any other duties assigned by Supervisor

Safety Responsibilities:

• Lock Out Tag Out
• Get Hot work permits when welding, cutting, grinding, or anything that would require a hot work permit
• Follow all Food Safety regulations
• Wear hearing protection in all areas of the plant
• Follow all common employee safety practices

Requirements:

• Two years certificate from college or technical school; or two years documented industrial maintenance experience. Previous experience in food manufacturing environment is a plus, especially with packaging equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED mandatory
• Education or training on electrical safety, including PLC troubleshooting
• Basic Computer skills
• Commit to follow safe work practices, including OSHA safety standards as they apply to Maintenance personnel
