Certified Nursing Assistant

As a Certified Nursing Assistant in our Intermediate ICU, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and support to our patients and their families. Your compassion, empathy, and strong communication skills will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Turn and reposition patients safely and efficiently.
- Transport patients and assist with walking as needed.
- Assist with fall prevention interventions and patient restraints as delegated.
- Provide patient care as delegated by the RN, including non-sterile soaks, application of non-sterile simple dressings, and perineal care.
- Perform data collection, including vital signs, fluid intake and output, and basic and sterile specimen collection.
- Properly document and maintain data on medical records and inform RN of activities performed, observations of patients, and changes in patient status.
- Run errands, answer telephone, and respond to call lights as needed.
- Perform point of care testing as trained and delegated by RN and report lab values to RN.
- Provide and document comfort and non-pharmacological pain management measures.
- High School diploma or equivalent OR post high school diploma/highest degree earned.
- Completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program.
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier).
- Data Entry.
- Mathematical Skills.
- Patient equipment (suction, vitals, defib).
