POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Production Coordinator is responsible for delegating tasks, overseeing production targets, and providing training for donation attendant team members. This role aims to meet or surpass individual production and donor service goals while adhering to established policies and procedures.
Foster a positive workplace culture that aligns with Goodwill's Amazing Customer Experience (ACE) principles, Values, and Mission in every interaction with colleagues, clients, customers, and management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Task Delegation: Assign duties, track production objectives, and train donation attendant staff; may also guide community service workers and volunteers as needed. This responsibility is performed daily, approximately 10% of the time.
- Goods Processing: Receive, categorize, process, and prepare donated items according to established standards; issue appropriate donation receipts to donors. This task is performed daily, around 50% of the time.
- Safety Compliance: Follow Goodwill safety protocols and report any workplace injuries, regardless of severity. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
- Policy Reporting: Notify management of potential employee actions that may violate policies. This responsibility is performed daily, approximately 10% of the time.
- Employee Engagement: Attend and engage in regular staff meetings and training sessions as required, accounting for about 5% of the time.
- Work Environment Maintenance: Contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere by communicating effectively with customers, clients, colleagues, and management. This task is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
- Preparation for Transport: Ready donated items for transportation as needed, approximately 5% of the time.
- Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work environment. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other related tasks as assigned.
To succeed in this role, an individual must be capable of fulfilling each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMust possess mental alertness and adaptability to both office and field work routines. Equivalent to four years of high school or GED, with a focus on office skills, shop skills, or similar areas, plus 12 to 18 months of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORKING CONDITIONSSomewhat challenging working conditions, with continuous exposure to elements such as noise, intermittent standing, walking, and occasional lifting or carrying.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing essential functions of this job.
