Job Overview

Our educators bring warmth, patience, and empathy to the classroom daily, encouraging children to thrive and develop. They motivate children to become lifelong learners by implementing a curriculum that supports social, emotional, physical, verbal, and cognitive growth. Our educators are dedicated to the success of our center and understand that building meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues is essential to that success.

As a Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Guiding, coaching, and mentoring less experienced educators in your classroom; exemplifying behaviors and providing constructive feedback.
  • Executing a curriculum that assists each child in achieving their individual developmental milestones.
  • Establishing a safe and nurturing atmosphere where children can engage in play and learning.
  • Contributing to the success of the center; collaborating with staff and leadership to meet objectives related to enrollment, accreditation, and community engagement.
  • Communicating and partnering with parents to ensure the best care and education for their children.
  • Fostering positive relationships with families, fellow educators, state licensing authorities, and community representatives.
  • Participating in mandatory monthly staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Conducting assessments in your classroom (DRDP, ECERS).

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and a strong desire to make a positive impact every day.
  • Ability to cultivate positive and productive relationships with families and colleagues, creating a dynamic environment where play and learning flourish.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and situations effectively.
  • Possession of an active Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or willingness to apply for one.
  • A minimum of 12 units in Child Development, with current enrollment in a Child Development Program.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Early Childhood Education (required).
  • Food handler's certification.
  • Physical capability to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift at least 40 pounds, and work both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to assume low postures to maintain physical and visual contact with children, see and hear adequately to ensure children's safety, and engage in physical activities with children.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
