We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our Medical Nephrology team at Trinity Health Corporation. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing staff in our busy nephrology unit.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with direct patient care, including vital sign measurements, documentation, and communication with the healthcare team.
- Support the nursing staff with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols and MercyOne standards.
- Assist with patient treatments, such as repositioning, pre-operative hair removal, and shower preps.
- Document and record procedures, including oxygen rates, blood glucose monitoring, and specimen collections.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a 75-hour credit Nursing Assistant Program (Certified Nurse Assistant) from an accredited school preferred.
- Must be state registered as a C.N.A. and have a general working knowledge of computers and department-specific software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment, as needed.
