About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at People Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks and addressing any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular inspections of property to identify potential issues and complete necessary repairs
  • Respond to weather-related situations, including snow removal and debris cleanup
  • Complete minor repairs and maintenance of physical plant, doors, windows, railings, and ceiling tile
  • Replace light bulbs and ballasts, as well as defective electrical switches and outlets
  • Paint interior or exterior surfaces of buildings
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs
  • Provide general lawn care services, including mowing, edging, and trimming bushes
  • Check operations of fire life safety equipment, smoke detectors, CO2 detectors, and emergency lighting
Requirements
  • Valid New York State Driver's License
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-2 years of general maintenance experience preferred
  • Lifting requirement of 50lbs
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position when performing standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and climbing

Compensation
