This Role

This position involves developing and optimizing data processing workflows to ensure high performance and reliability. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving Cognizant's data strategy and enhancing our payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize data processing workflows using PySpark, Unix Spark, and Scala.
  • Ensure high performance and reliability of data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions with existing systems.
  • Implement best practices for data storage and retrieval using Amazon S3.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and storage.
  • Design and implement scalable data architectures.
  • Monitor and maintain data pipeline performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
  • Document technical specifications and project requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in PySpark, Unix Spark, and Scala.
  • Extensive experience with Amazon S3 for data storage and retrieval.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
  • Proven track record of designing scalable data architectures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with other big data technologies.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
