About the Role

Macon Housing Authority is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for compiling and analyzing financial information, preparing entries to accounts, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze financial data to prepare accurate financial reports.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and GASB policies.
  • Review and reconcile accounting system general ledger to external HUD reimbursement system.
  • Prepare and submit financial data to internal and external auditors.
  • Develop and generate various reports, including financial statements, delinquency reports, and cost analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • Two to three years of work experience in general ledger or governmental accounting.
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel required; Yardi and/or QuickBooks preferred.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and GASB policies and procedures.

Benefits

  • Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, plus excellent benefits.
