Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, serving beverages and food in a friendly and timely manner, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve drink and/or food orders to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Assist with taking beverage inventory and completing required side work prior to shift end.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHMs EarthView program.
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • TIPS certified a plus.
  • Previous bartending/mixology experience required or equivalent training.
  • Food Sanitation certificate a plus, required within 90 days of employment.
Work Environment

This role requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching with arms. Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays, weekends, and different shifts.
