Job Summary:

The VHP Community Health Center is seeking a dedicated volunteer to support our team in various administrative tasks and projects. As a Non-Clinical Volunteer, you will play a vital role in extending our resources to better assist and direct the needs of our patients.

This position will focus on helping patients navigate between practices, supporting the VHP Financial Counseling team, and retrieving mail. You will also be responsible for folding and inserting mail into envelopes, as well as other miscellaneous office responsibilities.

Requirements:

- High School Diploma, preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Ability to navigate through different practices to retrieve correspondence
- Knowledge of Community Health Centers, preferred
- Administrative experience, preferred

Pre-Service Requirements:

- Provide two satisfactory references from non-family members for Adult Volunteers, or a satisfactory reference from a school for a youth volunteer
- Provide a receipt of an acceptable Pennsylvania criminal history check, Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI fingerprinting
- Volunteer applicants living in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will have their backgrounds checked through the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Record Check system (PATCH)
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance (CAHC) for volunteers with regular contact with children
- Must complete the Federal Criminal History Record Information (FBI Clearance)
- Show proof that Tuberculosis test has been done in the last year
- Show proof of Influenza Immunization (if volunteering between October-April)
- Sign a confidentiality agreement
