Teaching Opportunity at San Jacinto College

We are seeking a qualified Part-Time Faculty member to teach Child Development/Early Childhood Education and Education (Academic) related courses at our Central Campus.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree or higher in Education, Child Development/Early Childhood, with at least eighteen (18) graduate hours in the field of Child Development and/or Early Childhood. Additionally, three (3) years' work experience with young children is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College.
  • Develop curriculum for courses.
  • Work with students and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in teaching Education, Child Development/Early Childhood coursework in higher education.
  • Teaching children in a classroom setting.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year. As a part-time faculty member, you will not be entitled to all the rights, privileges, and benefits of regular, full-time employees.
